Thought Balloons (Rough draft 1/29/23)
In this story it tells the story of Main Characters thoughts and how they are reminiscent to balloons hanging off of their head

Thought Balloons
“Could you hold onto that thought?”
What an intriguing phrase. I am curious of its origins. I am not sure what it means but my mind imagines ethereal balloons. They hang, tethered to the back of someone’s skull like one of those Red Robins balloons that get tied around the wrist. The balloons follow me wherever I walk bumping against each other as wander around. Plus, the concept feels very cartoonish which is enjoyable, like something out of a comic in the Sunday newspaper.
They float wherever I travel, hoping to share them with other people where they can create their own thought balloons. It does not need to be the same size as it will not be but an inspiration from another thought. Each thought appearing a different hue and design from another, completely unique though stemming from one another.
Sadly, with most thought balloons, they float away up into the sky of the subconscious mind and then the unconscious space. One day that thought may come back but it may not be one to one exact same. It is truly excited to share my thoughts and riveting to receive new information.
Here I sit in the living room with my head full of thoughts. My mind palace seems less like a castle a lot of time and more of a suburban house that is filled with balloons. Some float at the ceiling with their strings hanging while others cover the ground as I walk. It would be claustrophobic if it was not so enchanting to see them all cover the walls. Each one a smattering of different hues, design, and shape as I traverse the cramped palace. Excited to see the balloons.
