This is probably going to be a shorter post than usual but this popped into my head after watching Prime Video's "Lord of the RIngs: Ring of Power". This is post popped in my head after watching the second episode (I have not watched the third yet so no spoilers). I will make make a line break so those who want to enjoy the episode as well can enjoy it without me spoiling with what I have seen or the theories I saw. SPOILERS AHEAD
The end of episode one we are introduced to this guy that is in a meteor which the internet had dubbed "Meteor Man". The following episode we see more of him especially seeing that he has access to magic. In the beginning I thought due to him being in a crater with fire surrounding, him being an agent of Sauron was the first that came to mind. This was theory was dropped in my head after seeing the Meteor Man use his powers to make the trees elongate and the area become darker. This has been seen in the Hobbit films with Gandalf when he tries to get the dwarves to listen to Bilbo Baggins. This is just a head cannon of mine but Gandalf has been seen using pyromantic magic even with simple spells like changing the colors of his smoke or providing fire works. Plus this would be cute to think that he has bonded with the hobbits in The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings because of the generosity of the Harfoots (the ancestors of the hobbits).
Now I saw a theory that someone made on TikTok which basis so far only revolves around the idea of a dramatic twist. Galadriel, the protagonist in this ensemble series of characters, jumped off the boat that would lead to a heaven of sorts (like a tolkein version of C.S. Lewis' Aslan's Country). Being adrift at sea, Galadriel finds a broken wreckage of a boat with people. After its eventual destruction other than one man, Halbrand saves her. We eventually get more narrative where he is the last king of the Southlands which the Orcs, Adar and probably even Sauron will be located.
It is an interesting theory and I am intrigued to see where the series continues.
